N区おける3ヶ月,1歳6ヶ月,3歳児の母親696人を対象に母親が抱えている育児問題とそれらの発生要因について検討した。母親の育児歴や育児の協力者の有無,児の月齢,生活状況などにより母親の抱える悩みは様々であった。これらの悩みについては家庭で解決できるものもあれば,専門職の助けが必要な場合もあった。しかし,一般に母親の育児の悩みは往々にして幼児期の身体的,精神的な発育段階に関するものであり,育児の悩みの中では一般的なものであった。このことから保健師が発育に応じて生じる母親の悩みを予測し,対処法を母親に提供することが必要である。また,保健師が育児サークルなど母親同士で情報交換ができる場を提供し,子育てを支援することが必要である。 |

We investigated child-care problems and their causal factors with 696 mothers who had 3 months, 1.5 years, 3 years-infants in the N region. Depending upon mothers' experiences of child-care, their co-operators, age of infants and their life-style, there were various problems in their child-care. Some problems could be solved only within families, but others required specialists to solve them. A number of mothers' sufferings were not fundamental problems, but only change depending on the period of development of infants. Therefore, public health nurses must educate mothers not to suffer from problems arising from the development of children. Thus, they must offer mothers occasions to exchange information among them to join occasions such as the child-care circles, and thus need to help these mothers. |
