これは,3歳のMr.Rが両親の離婚で「父親」に見捨てられ,19年後,自ら求めて再会した抑圧的な父親に思いの丈を突きつけた,直面化と長引いたエディプス・コンプレックスの自覚,克服の物語である。5歳以後,母は再婚し「義父」と彼の連れ子の義兄,母が産んだ異父弟との生活で,Rは居場所を失った。7歳時,交通事故はそんな状況で起こった。現場に急行した警官に「理想の父」を見てRは救われた。そして24歳で結婚,26歳の12月長男誕生の予定である。しかし口唇裂の長男を堕胎するか否かでRは苦悩する。「妻の父」への報告も躊躇した。通常業務に,通信大学履修,論文作成,三種の仕事と第一子堕胎の決断を迫る,苦悶の極みに,父親を殺したいと思うまでにRはなった。だが「論文指導教授」が精神分析医Dr.Jで,RはJに精神療法を希求した。僅か9回,4ヶ月の面接での回復は,基本的信頼感がほぼ達成されたことを暗示している。 |

Mr. R (hereinafter called R) was abandoned by his "father" due to his parents' divorce when he was 3 years old. This is a story of R's overcoming of his Oedipus complex invading into adulthood through confrontation with his repressive father, to whom R asserted all he had kept in his heart for 19 years. At the age of 5, R lost his own relaxing place among his "stepfather", stepbrother and halfbrothers. It was in the middle of this hardship that R-then a 7 year-old boy-became a victim of a traffic accident. R was rescued by a policeman, whom he regarded as an "ideal father"-gentle and manly. R got married at the age of 24 and his wife is expecting a boy baby in this December. But R was seriously troubled with the fact that the baby has a cleft lip. R, even thinking of abortion, was reluctant to disclose this disorder to his "father-in-law". R was in a very stressful situation-in addition to being a nurse and student, he was obliged to write theses. Burdened with these obligations and unable to decide what to do with his first baby, R got angry and even wished to kill his repressive father, who had abandoned him. But the "thesis supervisor" was Dr. J, psychoanalyst, so R asked Dr. J to treat him. After only 9 sessions of Dr. J's psychotherapy R got basic trust in Dr. J and became able to make decisions, which was a rather quick recovery. |
