慢性の妄想型統合失調症の55歳の女性患者にトーン・チャイムを用いた音楽療法を60回行った。初めのうちは,指導者が患者にトーン・チャイムの演奏に参加するように勧めても,目をつぶり,手を横に振り中々参加しようとしなかった。しかし27回目のセッションにおいて,作業療法士の指導で初めて参加した。その後は熱心に参加し,参加回数が増えるにつれ,患者は意欲的となり,疎通性も改善されて他の患者ともよく話すようになり,表情も改善され,他の患者に対する気配りも見られるようになった。 |

A case of female paranoid schizophrenia treated by music therapy with tone-chime was reported. At the beginning of music sessions, the subject only joined the chorus and simply stared at music therapy with tone chime while refusing to participate. By the 27^<th> session however, she began to take part and played the tone-chime session enthusiastically. Consequently, her symptoms gradually improved. By the 60^<th> session, her facial expression appeared normal, communication was much better and she showed much consideration toward other patients. |
