| 内容記述 | The present study aimed to discuss education on “life and death” required in maternity by analyzing data acquired when the author participated in education on death implemented by a nursing school in Germany. The results suggest that it is necessary to discuss and develop education programs with a focus on the following four points : (1) The framework of life-and-death education essential in maternity nursing has been established ; (2) The personalities of nurses including their views of religion and philosophy, thoughts, and behaviors are clearly reflected in the concept of “life support” for mothers and children ― an important pillar of the framework of the concept of “life and death” ; (3) A unique education method, in which students discuss “life” and “death” as a single subject, is implemented by teachers with a sense of humor ; and (4) “Life and death” is closely related to the lifecycle of females, including the processes of marriage/child-raising/setting up a home, and their views of “life and death” change during their lifecycle. | |||||||||
