脳損傷患者20名における漢字の視覚心像イメージ能力,構成能力,知的能力の関係を調べた。漢字の視覚心像課題は,(1)被験者が,聴覚呈示された漢字をイメージし,漢字中の四角の数をかぞえる,(2)(1)と同じ漢字を書字する,(3)解答を見ながら四角の数をかぞえる,であった。構成課題には直方体の模写,知的評価にはHDS-Rを用いた。その結果,漢字の視覚心像イメージ正答数と構成課題成績にかなりの相関がみられた。同2成績とHDS-R得点の間には相関がなかった。右脳/左脳/両側損傷群の3群間には,漢字の視覚心像イメージ正答数の差はなかった。(1)"イメージの生成","(視覚心像において)注意部分の鮮明度を上げる","走査済みのマーキングとその保持"の3つの心的操作が,漢字の視覚心像イメージ能力と構成能力に共通していること,(2)漢字の視覚心像イメージ能力と構成能力は知的能力からは独立していること,が示唆された。 |

We studied the relationship among imaging ability for the Kanji characters, constructing ability and intelligence level. The procedure of our imaging task for Kanji was as follows : Subjects (20 brain damaged patients) were acoustically given 16 Kanji characters and based on their image asked to count the number of squares in each of them (the Kanji characters often have squares with vertical and horizontal lines). Secondly, they were asked to write the same Kanji characters on paper. Thirdly, related with perceptual aspect, they counted the number of squares, looking at the typed same Kanji characters. In order to assess the constructing ability and the intelligence level, imitation writing of a rectangular parallelepiped and revised Hasegawa dementia rating scale (HDS-R) were carried out. The result was as follows. There was a significant correlation between the scores of imaging aspect for Kanji and of constructing task. The scores of imaging aspect for Kanji and of HDS-R did not have significant correlation. No significant correlation was found between the score of constructing task and that of HDS-R. We did not find significant differences among three patients' groups ; (1) with right hemisphere damaged, (2) with left hemisphere damaged, (3) with bilateral damage, as to the scores of imaging aspect for Kanji. We considered that these three mental manipulations, namely, 1) "image generation for Kanji", "making the image clearer at the point of attention", "marking points already scanned on image and retaining these marks until the relevant trial finishes", are needed in common for the imaging ability for Kanji and for the constructing ability ; 2) The imaging ability for Kanji and the constructing ability function independently to certain degree of intelligence level. |
