The team members cooperated in designing and implementing a program that would assist participants in acquiring the skills necessary to prepare nutritionally well-balanced meals that would meet their budget. Special care was taken to ensure safety and hygiene. Throughout the program, the abilities of the participants in planning meals, shopping and preparing meals were evaluated in order to assess the efficacy of the program.
