One of the reasons for this is a decline or stagnation in self-efficacy. Although self-help efforts are fundamental to enhancing self-efficacy, it has been suggested that it can be enhanced through educational efforts. On the other hand, personality traits, which have been used to predict human behavior, are considered to be highly variable until the late teens.
